Workshop description:

INQA attendees are welcome to register for a one-hour workshop hosted by Chris Rich, Principal Scientist in Processor Development at D-Wave Quantum. This session will offer a glimpse into new device capabilities to participants, along with hands-on programming and experimenting with our Leap cloud platform and Advantage QPUs, in real time! Capacity is limited, so please register through the conference website to secure a seat. Registrants will be sent more information ahead of the workshop. We thank you for your interest and look forward to seeing you all at the conference.

Workshop Host: Chris Rich Principal Scientist, Processor Development (D-Wave Quantum)

Bio: Chris Rich is a Principal Scientist based in Burnaby, British Columbia. Since joining D-Wave Quantum Inc. in 2007, he has worked in quantum processor calibration, magnetometry, and novel device testing, contributing to every field deployment from the first D-Wave One™ system through current-generation Advantage2™ systems. Passionate about expanding the capabilities of quantum hardware, Chris delights in pushing devices beyond their original design. Most recently, he and his team developed techniques using multicolor annealing and auxiliary qubits to enable arbitrary-basis initialization and measurement, unlocking a powerful new analog-digital toolset for a broad class of quantum simulations. At this conference, he will share practical insights to help both new and experienced users get more hands-on experience with quantum annealing technology.
